Eduardo Cheves, Invest Guatemala’s pharmaceutical specialist, attended the Virtual Buyer-Seller Meet in Pharmaceuticals on Thursday, October 13th, which was hosted by the Embassy of India in Guatemala and the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India – Pharmexcil.
The conference was organized with the goal of publicizing Guatemala’s pharmaceutical industry in that nation. During his presentation, Eduardo Cheves addressed the work the agency has done in the previous year to attract firms from the sectors prioritized by the Guatemala Moving Forward plan, particularly those connected to life sciences. He also gave data on the local market and the trade balance with the Asian country.
Ambassador Manoj Kumar Mohapatra attended the event, as did representatives from the Guatemalan Institute of Social Security, the United Nations Office for Project Services – UNOPS, and private enterprises interested in doing business with India. In response to Indian firms’ interest in Guatemala and the country’s immense potential, the Invest Guatemala team will conduct an investment promotion mission to India in December to promote Guatemala as a suitable destination for companies wishing to take advantage of the nearshoring strategy.
