The Spanish firm will open its new production base in Guatemala, which will be the largest in the textile group. They invested €40 million to achieve a state-of-the-art industrial plant based in high technology and sustainability. "Its geographical location will allow Nextil Group to access the large manufacturing market in competition with Asian suppliers obtaining maximum efficiencies in logistics and distribution, with preferential tariff access," the company said in a statement.

Funded on 1960, the company became one of Guatemala’s major knit supplier. MT Textil is one of the few vertical manufacturers in the region. Just this year, it invested US$ 80 million

An American company that for more than 35 years has diversified into a comprehensive provider of brand identification solutions for the apparel industry. On april, 2022 the company announced it began operating in Guatemala in order to support growth of the near-shoring market in western hemisphere.
